Why an online EML viewer?
No client to install
Double-clicking an .eml on a machine without Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird usually goes nowhere. Here the file just opens — in any modern browser, on any OS.
See what matters
Decoded headers (including non-ASCII subjects and senders), a readable plain-text or sandboxed HTML body, and every attachment listed with type, size and a download button.
Safe to forward on
Need to hand the email to someone who can't open .eml either? Export it as a PDF — single emails are free, unlimited, and the PDF is made on your device, not a server.

Frequently asked questions
How do I open an .eml file without Outlook?
Right here — drag the file into the box above. The email is parsed by JavaScript in your browser tab and displayed with its headers, body and attachments. Nothing is installed and nothing is uploaded.
Where do .eml files come from?
They're how mail software saves a single message: Outlook for Mac (drag a message out),
Apple Mail, Thunderbird (File → Save As), Gmail (Download message), Windows Mail, and most
email archiving tools. If your file is a binary Outlook .msg instead, use the
MSG converter page.
Can I see HTML emails and attachments?
Yes. HTML messages render in a sandboxed preview frame (scripts stripped and disabled); plain-text parts show as-is. Attachments are listed with name, type and size — images preview inline, everything can be downloaded. Email content is never injected into the page itself.
Is it safe for confidential email?
Yes — by construction. Your file is read entirely by your own browser; no bytes are transmitted anywhere. Verify it in developer tools (Network tab): the only requests are page loads, an anonymous usage counter, and license validation for paid users. Details in the privacy policy.
What does the paid license add?
Viewing, attachments and single-email PDF export are free forever. The one-time $9.99 license unlocks merging 2+ selected emails into a single PDF with a cover index page — handy for discovery, audits, or archiving a thread. The same key works on every page of this site.
